Job Description
An Endpoint Engineer manages, secures, and optimizes network-connected devices like desktops, laptops, and mobile phones. Their responsibilities include deploying and maintaining endpoint management tools, enforcing security policies, patching and updating systems, and responding to security incidents. They ensure devices are secure, up-to-date, and functioning properly to protect the company’s network from threats.
Responsibilities
Deployment and maintenance: Deploying, configuring, and maintaining endpoint devices and management solutions like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Tanium.
Tanium: Strong in Tanium Reporting and Dashboard creation is must
Security enforcement: Implementing security policies, managing firewalls, and ensuring devices are protected from cyber threats.
System updates: Patching and updating operating systems and applications to protect against vulnerabilities.
Incident response: Monitoring for security incidents and responding to technical issues or vulnerabilities on endpoints.
Collaboration: Working with other IT teams, such as cybersecurity and helpdesk staff, to ensure comprehensive security and support.
Automation: Using scripting languages like PowerShell and tools such as Patch My PC to automate tasks.
Eligibility
Technical proficiency: Strong experience with enterprise desktop environments (Windows, macOS), scripting, and endpoint management tools.
Security knowledge: Familiarity with security platforms, firewalls, and antivirus software.
Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Communication: Clear communication skills to explain technical information to various stakeholders.
Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
